Town Welcomes New Councillor Spencer

Council welcomes Ernie Spencer elected by acclamation.

Spencer graduated from Craik High School in 1961 before attending the University of Saskatchewan to obtain a Bachelor of Agriculture with Distinction in 1965. He later obtained a Masters of Science in Ruminant and Nutrition in 1973, also from the University of Saskatchewan.

Spencer was employed by the Saskatchewan Department of Agriculture for a number of years and farmed full time at Raymore for approximately 15 years.
Not lacking in experience, Spencer also served as Councillor and Reeve for the RM of Kutawa for two terms in each role.

After retiring from the department of Agriculture, he operated a small farm near Qu’Appelle.

He has a son that still resides near Qu`Appelle and a daughter that lives on a farm near Watrous.

Along with his partner, Nancy, Ernie is enjoying living in Craik and looks forward to involving themselves in the community.

Craik is very fortunate to have his experience and dedication to serving the community.
